The Education Department Has Finally Heard Our Cries For Help
The Department of Education recently released draft
regulations to improve two federal grant programs that are vital to improving
career and technical education (CTE) in the U.S. These two grant programs,
Title II of the Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Act of 2006 and
Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), currently serve over 4
million students nationwide, with Title II serving approximately 3 million
students across America’s schools and colleges every year.
School Funding Is Broken, But There Are Ways To Fix It
The education department has finally released proposed
regulations to expand and improve targeted relief programs. This is great news
for students who have been struggling to make ends meet, as well as for
teachers who have been working tirelessly to provide a quality education
despite inadequate funding.
Every Child Deserves A Chance To Succeed
The U.S. Department of Education has finally released proposed
regulations to expand and improve targeted relief programs. This is amazing
news for children across America who deserve a chance to succeed in school. As
the primary federal agency charged with overseeing K-12 education, it is the
Department’s responsibility to provide grants and assistance to ensure that
states, districts, schools, teachers, parents, and students have access to the
tools they need.
A key area where we need better support for educators and students alike is in expanding early learning opportunities.
School Funding Fails Students Of Color, Low-Income Students, And Students With Disabilities
The proposed regulations would expand and improve targeted
relief programs, which currently fail to adequately address the needs of
students of color, low-income students, and students with disabilities. The new
regulations would require schools to provide more resources and support to
these groups of students in order to close the achievement gap. Additionally,
the regulations would hold schools accountable for ensuring that all students
have access to a high-quality education.
We are finally seeing some progress when it comes to
ensuring that all students have access to quality education!
Congress Must Step Up And Act Now
The education department has finally released proposed
regulations to expand and improve targeted relief programs. This is a great
first step, but Congress must act now to ensure that these programs are fully
funded and implemented. Otherwise, our students will continue to fall behind.
We must demand that Congress does its job and provides the
necessary funding for these programs. We also need to make sure that these
programs are designed to meet the needs of all students, not just those who are
struggling the most.
Trump Administration Continues Its Assault On Americans' Rights And Freedoms
The Trump administration has proposed new regulations that
would make it harder for Americans to access targeted relief programs. These
programs are essential for many people who are struggling to make ends meet,
and the Trump administration's continued assault on them is an attack on our
rights and freedoms. These proposed regulations would make it more difficult
for people to get the help they need, and they would also make it more difficult
for people to hold the government accountable for its actions.
